This is an excellent image. Well seen and captured. The subject's posture and facial expression make the shot, and to that end I think the composition would be stronger if the image was cropped. At the very least, removing slice from the left hand side up to the edge of the building and cropping down to the bottom of the bright area at the far left to eliminate background that adds nothing to the shot. Additionally, the image should be rotated slightly clockwise to straighten the verticals.

I much prefer the color version to the B&W one you posted. Although it is in color, it looks more nostalgic than the B&W one. Almost like an old faded transparency.

Super! That background really separates the subject and gives it that 3D look.

Nice shot but the focus seems a bit off. Then again it is a f/1,4 although at f/8 it should be a tad sharper.
