More testing of my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* on my CONTAX RTS II Quartz as it has had 'back-focus' problems.
I took out the focus screen and checked it and took this at full aperture walking in our High Street to see if I could get it sharp enough at full aperture in poor light. I focussed in front of where I thought the man would come .
This time I used my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* on my YASHICA FR1 and went to the same shop and focussed on the wire baskets as before but this time the focus was accurate and things inside the shop were not sharp so it seems there is something wrong with my CONTAX RTS II Quartz -- may be the focus screen or mirror not right.
Tests on my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss PLANAR T* on my CONTAX RTS II Quartz --- it seems to suffer from 'back focus' here at f2.8 focus was on the wire baskets but the Old Gent is OUT as are the Baskets and things inside the shop are sharper .
Tests on my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss T* PLANAR on my CONTAX RTS II Quartz showing 'back focus' -- here at f1.4 I focussed on the Wall of the ruin but bricks on building behind are sharper.
More testing of my 1982 CONTAX RTS II Quartz with the 50mm f1.4 Planar T* -- Here I used a Polariser -- it did not do much but the sky is a little darker. I used outdated Fuji Super G 100 film rated at 64 ASA and home-processed in C41.
I was GIVEN a 1982 CONTAX RTS II Quartz with the 50mm f1.4 Planar lens so I tested it in Brentwood High Street at full aperture. Camera had been banged so frame counter does not work, but lens seems OK.
I was GIVEN a 1982 CONTAX RTSII quartz with 50mm f1.4 Planar lens so I tested it at full aperture in Brentwood High Street in dull light -- Camera had been banged so frame counter does not work but lens seems good.
