Visiting Son and Daughter in Chelmsford Essex ENGLAND I took my 'Saved-From-A Dump' CONTAX RTS II Quartz loaded with outdated kodak Gold 200 which I processed myself and the LENS was a TAMRON BBAR MC 135mm f2.5

trying out my CONTAX RTS II Quartz again with the Zeiss 50mm f1.4 T* Planar at full aperture I focused forward as it tends to 'back focus' I used some free 09/2006 outdated Kodak Ektachrome Elite Extracolour.
Trying out my CONTAX RTS II Quartz in London with a Yashica ML 80-200mm f4 lens at f4, Film was some free 09/2006 outdated Kodak Ektachrome Elite Extracolour
More testing my CONTAX RTS II Quartz with the 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* which has been suffering from 'Back-Focus' -- here I tried a 'Street Candid' on the move, with camera held at waist level full aperture f1.4 in poor light, outdated HP5 Plus this time processed in Promicrol liquid to see if there was any different in Fog Level and film speed from ID11 -- negs were actually THINNER but fog level looked the same. I pre-focussed in front of the man and the focus is acceptable. I cropped the neg scan and straightened it up.
More testing of my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* on my CONTAX RTS II Quartz as it has had 'back-focus' problems.
I took out the focus screen and checked it and took this at full aperture walking in our High Street to see if I could get it sharp enough at full aperture in poor light. I focussed in front of where I thought the man would come .
Tests on my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss PLANAR T* on my CONTAX RTS II Quartz --- it seems to suffer from 'back focus' here at f2.8 focus was on the wire baskets but the Old Gent is OUT as are the Baskets and things inside the shop are sharper .
Tests on my 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss T* PLANAR on my CONTAX RTS II Quartz showing 'back focus' -- here at f1.4 I focussed on the Wall of the ruin but bricks on building behind are sharper.

Given about 15 cassettes of FUJI VELVIA 50 by a fellow Camera Club member -- he said it was about 5 years outdated -- so I loaded my 'gift' CONTAX RTS II Quartz with a roll and took it out with my Yashica FR1 and rated most of it at 40 ASA but the last few I tried 32 ASA -- I 'duplicated' a lot of frames on the Yashica which I have already shown here so only show THIS one taken in shade in Shaftesbury Avenue, London with the ML f2.8 28mm Yashinon lens at full aperture f2.8 rating film at 40 ASA. My E6 processor said there was a 'Magenta cast' due to the age of the film but I corrected it in PhotoShop 7 'Levels' .The ones taken in bright Sunlight were very contrasty indeed.
London, Trafalgar Square-- all these 'characters' have appeared over the last few years hoping to get some money outside the National Gallery -- years ago they would not have been allowed -- they are very 'wary' of Camera Carriers !! I managed to sneak this one when he was not looking -- I had some old 'FP4 ' loaded NOT FP4+ and processed in to FX15 formula 1+1 i make up myself.
More tests with my 'gift' CONTAX RTS II Quartz and the Planar lens -- here is a Window Cleaner in action -- I had to focus quickly before he saw me ! I used outdated Fuji Super G 100 film rated at 64 ASA and home-processed in C41. I think there may be a LIGHT LEAK now in the film plane-- see the red area below -- I had to change the mirror bumper foam as on use it all crumbled after so many years of non-use.
More testing of my 1982 CONTAX RTS II Quartz with the 50mm f1.4 Planar T* -- Here I used a Polariser -- it did not do much but the sky is a little darker. I used outdated Fuji Super G 100 film rated at 64 ASA and home-processed in C41.
I was GIVEN a 1982 CONTAX RTS II Quartz with the 50mm f1.4 Planar lens so I tested it in Brentwood High Street at full aperture. Camera had been banged so frame counter does not work, but lens seems OK.
I was GIVEN a 1982 CONTAX RTSII quartz with 50mm f1.4 Planar lens so I tested it at full aperture in Brentwood High Street in dull light -- Camera had been banged so frame counter does not work but lens seems good.
