Well, clouds weren't there at the time so no clouds. The shot had to be done at F/16 otherwise it would not be entirely sharp. The tree and fence are so close that if I shoot at some other (larger) aperture they would become out of focus. Please learn more about the hyperfocal distance to understand how and where to focus to obtain sharp image from the closest possible distance to infinity. The aperture has to be small, but not to small so that the light diffraction doesn't occur (like in case of f/22 or smaller). As for the right side I had to compromise on the composition a little bit. I wanted to have the fence in the picture and as much of it as possible to lead the viewer eyes into the shot but that also meant the dark rocky hill on the right. I chose to keep it.

I decided to take on a simple home project involving crystal glass and a red wine. I pointed my flash from the left side of the glass to get its shadow cast, and the wine in it.

Thank you all. If you're interested in canyon's pics you can check them out on my flickr page. I took most of them with Nikon or Zeiss lenses. http://www.flickr.com/photos/gregoryboratyn/

This is a 3 vertical images panorama of Canyon X in Arizona. Each shots was exposed 3 times (+ 1 and – 1 stop) and then blended using the luminosity masking technique. The stitching was done in PS CS6. All other editing was done in Lightroom. I added water effect in PP to make this image more interesting. Enjoy.

Two, three, four and five inches each. The last one on the pictures is actually three inches but it looks like the smallest in front. Just optical illusion...

These interesting balls are from the sand stone, the same stone Antelope Canyon is made of so they have high light reflectivity. The sun effect was added in post processing. The blur was achieved by setting the lens to f/1.4.
