A church has existed here since 1100. The church seen today dates from the thirteenth century. It is small but spectacular inside with many objects of interest including medieval wall paintings.<br />

This figure is in memory of Captain Edward St.John who was killed at the Battle of Newbury in 1645 during the English Civil War. <br />
