P.S.: Further to the "story". This male-Swan came out of the water, came charging / running up the rocky beach to try to attack me, as I came close to the water to set up my tripod. He stopped short of 2 feet from me and snared at me in a hissing tone, trying to scare me off (he clearly considered the small bay beyond, of beeing his territory) - this happened all the time, while the female-Swan (visible in the Picture) swam up and down the small bay. I have several other shots of the swan as it came up charging at me.
