When shooting through a window I struggle with knowing if I should avoid the reflection or try to angle the shot so as to shoot in a manner that will by-pass any reflection. Not always easy. In a recent photo that I uploaded I was trying to avoid the reflection but ended up having a seal joint in the window (the window had three 90 degree corners) cross the face of one of the persons in the photo. The person was not the primary subject so I went with it. This reflection is nice as it does give it a spooky feel which compliments the woman's expression.
