This is a 'Leica I'; it was bought in 1930 by Mr Sinclair from Robert Ballatine, Opthalmic Optician in Glasgow for £17 including the rangefinder and case. The Zeiss Ikon Diaphot Extinction Meter was bought separately. The Fikus hood and filter must have also been added more recently. This was a friend's camera that has been serviced by the excellent Peter Grisaffi.
The camera has a non-interchangeable 50mm f3.5 Elmar.
If anyone is interested the RPI value of £17 today is about £840 and the 'wage value' is £2600.
