It was a grab shot. I turned towards the light and there she was. It was shot contre jour and she had to be lightened up. I made the sand under her feet darker. She was hesitating to move into the water, or perhaps she was fascinated by the waves. The texture in the sky add a three dimensional quality that was in the scene but hard for a camera to capture. I added noise to the picture to make the viewer able to feel the sand.
