Thanks, Herman - you make an interesting point about added space, and I'll be curious to try it. Frankly, I was so enamored of the hayrick (which has now disappeared), that I turned all my focus (so to speak) on it. But making it less prominent might well place it better within the landscape. Seems like it would certainly change the effect from "the hayrick" to "the hayrick within a field".
