It was spontaneous. Too much pressure, so left home in a huff, and walked over to Sotheby's. 15 minute walk. Greatest antidote. Everyone was so nice and welcoming.
As for DEEEEP pockets, there were some serious people sitting with Staff wearing white & green gloves, taking frames off, examining every nook and cranny.
There was one photo that had a starting bid of $250,000. Not a famous name. They publish sale prices. Should be interesting to view.
Oh, and there was an Ansel Adams "Monolith" that would lovely over the fireplace. :)
