I keep coming back to this cooking session. The atmosphere of this photo is steering my feelings just like somebody's steering the ingredients in a pot.
An excellent photo Jim, simply excellent.
Dimitris V. Georgopoulos, Athens, Greece.

P.S: Are Bruce Davidson and Joel Meyerowitz some of your favourite photographers?

Wonderful use of reflection - placing your image on top of the woman's is brilliant - the whole image is delightful to look into.

Really amazing layering, Jim! A very interesting shot with many elements to take in. The palm and the virtual ceiling lines in the sky are just a few of the really cool details.

Apart from the obvious interest, what makes this picture unique are repeated primary colors. From the red and green on the right through the painting on the wall and over to the wall prints - red and green is everywhere. Even in the shadows the "noise" is red and green which adds to the overwhelming colorfulness of the scene (bar wall, chair cushion. I like the way that the palm "grows" out of the wall. Jim you must have seen this arrangement of colors in a flash of inspiration?

I love this picture. It tells so many different stories and yet they are all the same. The lady spotlighted in the middle. The sunset. The photographer taking a photo of the sunset, or the lady?
And still the colours are subtle and the tone is smooth.
