thanks, Steve, I am not sure. I would think, it would be too much gray in gray, as it was very dark there. The IR give it this mystic light (I think?)

This would be brilliant even if not IR.

Thanks very much lilia, friedeye and Terry.

Terry, you have to be very strong now, we had fantastic weather for IR today, clear blue sky and bright clouds and I shot 150 images and many seem to have the potential for uploading :)
---
I did my first IR shots in 2004 with Nikon D70 (dreaming of it "decades" before in the analog times). Now I finally solved the focus problem and got the perfect filter R715. This filter is not too strong and leaves some more gray tones in the images than filters like the R780.

It is always the question, where using "effects" for a picture is just being used for the "effect", this could be a fish eye, a filter or a software filter, even B&W and of course infra red, or being used for certain images you have in mind.
We will never know, even for our own images.
For me it is enough, if someone likes it.

Thanks for looking

I'm not a huge fan of IR filters -- but the work you're doing is superb, Dierk.
