Church of San Martín. (Facade on the lateral side)
Built on the site of one of the ten oldest mosques that were in the city of Valencia at the time of its conquest by King James I the Conqueror in 1238. The mosque was transformed into a church continuing the same factory Muslim. Over time this ancient mosque became too small for worship and was demolished, building new plant a church in Gothic style between 1372 and 1401. The side covers were finished in 1388.

Dona Sol salutatem in excelsis a nostra conventus Valenciencis. This could be a welcome salutation from the medieval and renaissance past of Valencia to you honoring these great monuments.
Excellent photo Sol!!! It takes me back to some other times like a book.

It looks like a building straight out of the Wizard of Oz, especially with the decorated walkway leading to it. Beautifully done, Sol.
