Wensleydale is in North Yorkshire, Miller's Dale in The Derbyshire Peak District and they're different areas, if the place you visited was a long wide valley it would probably be the Dales of Yorkshire, if the river ran through narrower valleys and there were steep Edges in the area it would be the Peak District. Glad to see you're hooked on our unhealthy diet!! Got to say I'd suffer if I couldn't get the occasional Cod, Chips and Mushy Peas! I presume your Dad emigrated before you were born. I worked in Sheffield for about 7 years and we still go to the city every few months.

Ken: I have hopped across the brook at Wensleydale, or was it Millersdale? Somewhere in the area anyway. Looks like I remember the countryside. I got some pasties and bangers from a Brit store in Florida, and have bangers every morning now. Expensive though, Cornish pasty was $7. I miss Cod and chips with mushy peas! Dad was born in Sheffield. I ought to bring the wife here.
