Thank you for stopping by and your kind words about this image. Also, thank you for sharing your knowledge of these clouds and the origin of their name. I just know they (Mammatocumulus) usually cause trouble whenever they are present...like a bad thunderstorm.

Mammatus, also known as mammatocumulus (meaning "mammary cloud"), is a meteorological term applied to a cellular pattern of pouches hanging underneath the base of a cloud.
