Thanks for posting this! I reckon I prefer this one, and one still has headroom to tamper with the histogramme if one wants to.

Thanks philber. lollus requested this post as he was not sure that he liked the HDR version. Yes, this is off my Manfrotto Carbon Tripod, but a good solution for you might be either a Beanbag resting on the top of a pew or rail or a Gorilla Pod attached to something. In bureaucratic terms, it is not strictly a Tripod. Both methods will work. See:
