This image is an A3 Crop of the original, so a tiny bit of the left hand side of the frame has been lost. Just so much detail in the B&W conversion. Pleased with it, as it was windy and I nearly did not bother to take any pictures. The Marlborough Downs are almost treeless and it is very exposed. You can get what feels like the four seasons in one morning. I always take a fleece.
Just printed this and it looks good and will be better once framed.
I shot this probably no more than a foot from the ears of wheat on the right hand side. I set the focus here using Live View. Really windy up there today so I used ISO 400, f/11 and 1/1000 sec. to attempt to keep control. The B&W certainly brings up a lot of detail.
