Thanks for the comments, bajanexile. This was part of a set which were all in colour, but this alleyway didn't have any uplighting - I'll try a B&W conversion...
This is a bracketed shot, exposure merged in photomatix, of Bastakiya in Bur Dubai. Bastakiya is an old district of town full of restored merchant houses, wind towers, boutiques and cafes. Bustling by day but empty at night.
