The image was taken south of the Bonn area, were German troops and materials got concentrated and attacked by Allied aircraft to stop the German troops ready for the Ardennes Offensive (also called Rundstedt offensive). It was the last attempt of Nazi Germany of World War II to destroy the moving Western Allied forces. End of the Battle of the Bulge - 67.675 wounded or dead German soldiers, and 87.559 wounded or dead American soldiers. This images is just a very small part of this World War II desaster 67 years ago.
