Yes, it was. All the buildings in this small area on the East River are for the super rich and famous.

Apartments / condos vary from $6 to 30 million. Some even more.
Across the street is #1 building in the city, Riverhouse. Kissinger lives there now. Nice man. My friend bumped into him some years ago on a Sunday morning and had a nice long chat with him.

In its day Riverhouse had docks where the rich would arrive on their yachts. Greta Garbo lived on the next block. Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, Irving Berlin, Katharine Hepburn, Otto Preminger, IM Pei, titans of industry, film, the arts, etc.

As the Brits say, "There is no poverty here."
