This photo has a nice story.....

These are not statues but real people. I promised to hide their identities.

On the river where I live in Manhattan are a series of culs-de-sac with small vestment parks where the local residents come to relax in the evening.

When I looked up I was intrigued by 2 boxers training in a completely empty park. I shot one frame first, instinct told me I may not have another chance, then climbed the steps to the men. The trainer was not pleased. Considering that he was at least 6'4", 30 years younger than I, had boxing gloves on, and was in tip-top shape, I knew not to argue, so I used my charm. He consented, explaining that he would allow me to shoot but not to show his student's face as he was a famous celebrity. I smiled at celebrity, he smiled back, very nice guy. I extended my hands with big guy and we shook. Honor system.

The first shot turned out to be the best. The backdrop is of Queens across the river with Citibank sister building to the one in Manhattan. I believe the silhouettes give it some mystique.

Hope you like it.

Lilia

....and no, I will not divulge who it is......I gave my word. (smile)
