Hi and thanks, actually we are almost at 70 th degrees here. I don't live here, we came yesterday, but I think it is quite common at this latitude. We saw it for several hours, but we were in a car and when we had reached our place and had some food it was almost midnight and then it stopped, but I got a couple of images. I have published one more today. My home is at 60th latitude and there these displays are very rare.
My dream is to photograph the Auroral displays - Half the year I live at 45 degrees north latitude and in 50 years have only seen the Aurora Borealis twice - the other half I live at 17 degrees north latitude and unless there is a shift in the Earth's magnetic field I don't think I will ever be able to see it there - I checked and it looks like you are about 68 degrees north latitude there - How often during the year can you see the Northern lights?
