This brings back bittersweet memories of my father's Contax II (zwei), 1950 (?) model, which he taught me to use when I was 8 years old. Remember, I had to use manicure scissors to cut the film, slide it into the slot, then hope that I did it tightly enough, otherwise ruining a whole roll of film (which was very expensive at that time).

I used it until 1970 when the Nikon FTN arrived. Automatic was so much easier. It was lovingly stored for many years, taking it out to work the mechanism. It was as good as new. Nothing like it even today. Quality is forever.
