I had problems with my A99. Bought 2. Both were couple of times in service but overall Sony moves in the right direction.

EVF is just fine. If you are using 1.4 it is even better then regular focusing screen

I have revisited the A99 and am glad to say I have converted 100% from Nikon and manual focus Zeiss to the A99 with the full range of auto focus Zeiss glass :) Never been happier :)

nice 850. I owned one and loved it. Wish I had kept it. The a99 looks geat but I am still not 100% convinced on EVF's.
