Looking through the Nave towards the Choir Screen, Winchester Cathedral, Hampshire, England
Notes
Or, the demise of the DSLR. The majority of the visitors to Winchester Cathedral last week were shooting their images on Mobile Phones. This lady is using a Tablet. Dear or Dear! The light in here is not good so I hate to think of the IQ achieved i.e. Digital Noise + low Resolution. What is happening to people, does quality no longer matter?
Nice image, as usual Steve. As for IQ? Most of the people doesn't care too much. If they have the pic and "Granma likes it" that's enough for most. Howevere we have others like you, and that is another ball game! Thanks for sharing.
Yes Philippe, the trend is gong the same way that Hi-Fi has gone. I still have all my Vinyl as well as my CD's. The children can throw them away when I have gone. Steve
As long as you are around Steven, IQ needs no other advocate! That said, lower-end compacts are a dying breed, and portability is trumping quality the same way as it did with hi-fi, where 24-bit resolution lost out to the screechy but so pratical iPod
