Buckman Tavern - Lexington, MA

Buckman tavern, built around the end of the first decade of the 18th century, was the gathering place for the militia in the early hours of April 19, 1775 to await the arrival of British troops who were charged with seizing and destroying the arms and munition that the colonists were storing in Concord a few miles away.
