Thanks. Plants express themselves through form and color and I try to give them a hand in that expression (with the help of Zeiss lenses). I have a project on plant portraits just now so have put a few up encouraged by your kind words.

That's the reward for getting up at 4am and snow shoe to the peak of a mountain for 90 minutes. The lovely mountain range around the "Sparafeld" in the Austrian "Gesäuse" NP. This is actually the opposite side of my recently posted sunset reflection shot. Probably f/11 and about 50mm.

On the way to a gorge with the weird name "Dr. Vogelgesang Klamm" which could be translated to "Dr. Birdsong Gorge". Once again in the awesome Austrian Alps - this time in Upper Austria". Lens must have been at 35mm, aperture f/16 I guess.

For of the beautiful peaks in the Styrian "Gesäuse" National Park. As my adapter doesn't transfer the lens data - it was shot at 35mm and f/16.

Thanks, Charles! And, yes, there is something special about the rendition of the 50 f:1.4. Hard to pinpoint, but definitely there. For want of a better word, I call it "understated elegance".
