Taken at the annual 'Dickens Festival' Rochester, Kent on a Camera Club trip-- Fagin is a well-known 'character' in 'Oliver Twist' -- I used my 180mm f4 CFi Sonnar + small Cobra flash on outdated Fuji Provia 100 film-- light was poor, overcast.

Well, he's actually reading something but I did take that out because I thought it goes well with the ambiguity of the whole image.

I'm unsure as to whether I'm disappointed or intrigued that I can't see what he has in his hands. Perhaps that's one of the strengths of the shot. I like it.

This is truly great! The look of anticipation on his face makes me look at the picture and hoping to see the outcome. Like my wife says to me, If the picture keeps me looking its a great picture.

Thanks for your comment. I did some resizing, at the end I posted as I shut it. But you are right, with a good resizing, the subject will come up better. Thanks again.

Nice atmosphere to this one but I think that I would have shot the image much closer to the near Sarsen or cropped it tighter. With this size negative, a tighter crop would not be an issue. The Sarsens are what this image is all about and the foreground only detracts. My opinion only. Stephen

Nice capture, but the same comment goes for this one. Just a bit too big for this site as you are trading off a fair bit of IQ to see it this large. Just an opinion. Stephen

Might be worth resizing this one. See what others think. Just a bit too big I think, but IQ looks good. Stephen

Thanks rickperry. I didn't expect a so strong effect at 1/80 speed. But a littel bit of good luck is always welcome.
