I used the multiple exposure function on my D700 for this image. I shot 3 frames and altered the focusing manually between each frame.

The camera and zeiss lens were attached to a telescope mount which was tracking at the same speed as the rotating sky.

taken as I came out of the Library -- I saw the young man sitting on the bench so I got the Werramatic ready,exposure set and focus about 8 feet away and as I approached I held the camera at waist level and as I pressed the shutter he yawned ! I did a 16x12" RA4 print of this for my Camera Club.
