Gorgeous! I would like to see this picture flipped with the out of focus area on the right side.

I agree, nice image and would agree with zblake re: stray hair. It is all these tiny little details that you have to pay such close attention to if you ever wanted to sell your images. Not trying to teach anyone how to suck eggs, but you must always open an image in Actual Pixels i.e. at 100% and use the Hand Tool to rove around the image. This is exacly what an Agency will do. All together, Rick? I came back from two weeks in India with some 50 portraits, after weeding out all those I didn't care to post. You can see them here if you want. And that was without even trying hard, stopping the car, or whatever. For my money, India is the portrait photographer's heaven... http://www.flickr.com/photos/26674854@N02/sets/72157621940594864/

You can't mount the dedicated Sony/Minolta tele-converter to this lens. You could mount a cheap Kenko converter or so (which I do not have). The bird was not really happy about me, so I just had to take my time...

Thats pretty darn good. You did not scare the bird away. I once read that you cannot add a tele-converter to this lens. Do you know if that is true?
