“A strong Pacific storm raced ashore Monday morning March 12, 2012 bringing wind gusts to nearly 90 mph along the Oregon coast line. By sunset Monday, near record setting snows were falling along nearly the entire coastline of Oregon including the the shoreline beaches.

Giant Kelp leaves broken away from the forest on the ocean's floor, are inevitably swept onto the beach.
Below the thunders of the upper deep;
Far far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides; above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous grot and secret cell
Unnumber'd and enormous polypi
Winnow with giant arms the slumbering green.
Fraser River, River Road, Richmond, BC. The City of Richmond is an island; only separated from the City of Vancouver by the Fraser River. The river is rich with logging, large and small industry
I'm a sucker for this iconic view of Canada Place in Vancouver and the port for the cruise ships. It is uplifting everytime I see it. The sails have just been cleaned and are gleaming in the soft filtered sunlight today.
Stumbled upon this old trestle bridge nestled in along the Fraser River exploring on the weekend. Since it is less than half a mile from a huge fancy casino and "another" new housing development, I think it won't be here for long. Although on this side of River Road, there is still a lot of industry. (the street lamps just above the trestle are from the adjacent Oak Street Bridge.)

The colour version was just a little too fresh for my artistic tastes
